Commissions
I very much enjoy working on commissions.
Please contact me here if you are interested in commissioning and artwork.
The most common commissions are portraits of people and animals, but I also love to capture special landscapes and sporting moments which make lovely gifts for the outdoor/sporting enthusiast.

Subject photos
I usually work from photos, and occasionally from life for human portraits.
I prefer to take my own photos where possible, to get to know the subject and to ensure the correct positioning, lighting etc for the photo.
If you are too far to come for a photo session, please follow the guide below when taking photos to send.
1. Lighting
Natural light outdoors is best, but not too much direct sunlight.
Try a few different positions in relation to the sun.
2. Position
The camera should be on the same level as the subject, or just slightly higher.
The subject should be 2 to 3 metres away from the camera.
Ask someone to help by standing behind you and holding a treat to get the subject looking alert and interested.
Try a few different positions with the subject looking forwards, left and right.
If the subject will not sit still, a lead can be used. (This can be edited out of the final picture).
Try both sitting and standing positions.
3. Sending
I have a Dropbox account for uploading high resolution images. I will forward an email link. Simply click on the link then follow instructions to upload the images.
